Bob Arum Reveals Fascinating Future Roadmap for Tyson Fury

On Saturday, May 18, Tyson Fury (34-0-1, 24 KOs) and Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs) collide for the undisputed heavyweight championship of the world at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Ahead of the undisputed clash, Bob Arum has revealed a likely roadmap for Fury, including a fight against fellow Brit Anthony Joshua.

Bob Arum Talks Future for Tyson Fury Including Anthony Joshua Fight

Ahead of the mouth-watering undisputed clash on May 18, Bob Arum has spoken to Sky Sports about the future of “The Gypsy King.” It’s been well-reported that a rematch agreement is already in place for Usyk-Fury and should happen later this year.

Arum explained his vision for the heavyweight division: “There’s a rematch [with Usyk] so we’ll have a rematch then if all’s well and the boxing gods shine on us there’ll be a couple of fights with Anthony Joshua.”

Ben Davison who has helped Joshua revitalise his career, overseeing wins over Otto Waliin and Francis Ngannou, is also experienced with Fury who he trained back to fitness after his weight spiralled following his victory against Wladimir Klitschko. The leading trainer spoke on a potential AJ-Fury clash: “Everybody’s desperate to see the Fury-Joshua fight,” he acknowledged.

Davison continued: “I’ve got a good relationship with Tyson, I’ve also got a fantastic relationship with Anthony Joshua now and I’ve got loyalty there as well.”

Eddie Hearn Speaks on Potential All-British Clash

Speaking on a potential all-British heavyweight clash between Fury and Joshua, Eddie Hearn said: “If Tyson Fury wins on Saturday I believe you’ve got a situation where the entire world will call for that fight,”

The Matchroom boxing supremo continued: “This is a completely different Anthony Joshua.”

Hearn added: “He’s a different person, tactically he’s comfortable with what he’s doing.

“We want to prove it against the [Fury vs Usyk] winner but we’ll see what happens Saturday.”
